Covid-19 update - Added 02.10.2020: Covid-19 has affected the supply chain we use quite severely. The imminent threat of 3rd party business quarantine and isolation without warning, not just in our country but in some of the 30 countries we source of products and materials from.
This combined with limited working space and social distancing measures in place around the worlds means that existing relationships with suppliers has not been plain sailing. Supply has and will get harder and we proceed through Brexit and the ever-changing import criteria and we are already experiencing periods of disruption from all suppliers.
As of 02.10.2020 we have gone full steam ahead and purchased masses of stock to help reduce inconvenience, however, any supply of 3rd party or custom items out of our control, will be excluded from our current service commitments.
This includes but is not limited to items such as PVC, Artwork designs, Custom foam and soft play items, imported items, BBOL Items and may severely impact on lead times without any warning whatsoever.
Please do not proceed with any order that is time sensitive and only proceed on the understanding that things might get worse before it gets better under covid-19 restrictions.
Some clients have experienced delays of up to 6 months and even a complete cancellation of order. Sadly, we will not be able to provide regular updates due to focusing on manufacture and ensuring issues are resolves as fast as possible but feel free to contact us for updates.
We really appreciate your support and patience during these strange times.

Likewise, if we are asked to source and image online for you the quality will not be guaranteed unless a vector image is available. We aim for 1 megapixel or above.

We also offer a full training service on all our inflatables if required with prices starting from £395+vat per head based on a minimum of 4 delegates.
We also recommend reading the HSE fairground advice by clicking here; https://www.hse.gov.uk/entertainment/fairgrounds/inflatables.htm
We also recommend that you purchase a copy of EN14960 to ensure you fully understand how you should operate and care for your inflatables. Click here to purchase a copy for around £25; https://www.evs.ee/en/evs-en-14960-1-2019

Whilst the artwork is of the highest most robust quality, it must be cared for properly. do not use any excessive force. Do not use any bleach or strong cleaning products. Always roll artwork up & do not fold it in order to avoid cracking/ spalling over time. Do not sit objects on top of artwork and do not keep it wet for long periods of time. Notwithstanding the above, the artwork is very robust and the above is just a precaution.
All artwork is UV cured or laminated for durability at our discretion.
No 2 artwork batches will be the same so please bare this in mind when purchasing products, even at the same time 1 product could be from the end of batch 1 and the other, the start of batch 2.
When cleaning your artwork, please ensure you only use Betterbounce approved cleaning products. Do not use the links of Bleach or Mould spray without proper authorisation first.

All our deliveries are undertaken by a Third-party delivery company. This is not our own in-house service and as such, all deliveries will be subject to their terms and conditions. These should be requested, received, read & understood in full before we dispatch and are available upon request as amendments cannot be made after payment has been made.
All delivery dates quoted by Betterbounce direct, either verbally or in writing should be taken as our best estimate even if a promise or guarantee is made verbally or in writing. This is because we use a 3rd party courier and as such, it is impossible to guarantee on their behalf. Delivery date or dates do not form part of the contract under any circumstances. This includes both custom and OEM products. Estimate of delivery dates do not form part of the sales contract & we strongly suggest that you never take a booking or undertake any commitments for equipment that’s not in your possession just in case, especially whist the world supply chain is unstable.
Our deliveries cannot guarantee an exact delivery date due to the appointment for a 3rd party outside of our control. All deliveries are made by a 3rd party and as such we use, Ups, City Link and/ or any other more respected brands, along with their approved contractors for reliability purposes only and will not compromise quality over cost under any circumstances. However once again, for all 24 & 48hrs deliveries, we use TNT, Expect Distribution where possible although we reserve the right to change this service without notice.
Returns on some non-inflatables items such as blowers are accepted providing, they are brand new and unused & returned at your own expense. The delivery date does not form part of the contract and as such no refunds can be offered or that the delivery & In the rare In the unlikely event of multiple item purchases being sent at various times and through different methods please allow for a reasonable period of time for your order to be completed.
We accept NO responsibility for consequential loss or damage arising as a result of any deliveries. This includes damaged goods, changing delivery dates etc. Please do not proceed with an order if you do not fully agree with this level of service.
If delivery cannot be made due to receiver absence or if the delivery address is changed after dispatch from the Betterbounce direct premises, then further delivery charges may be incurred. These further delivery charges will be charged to you (our customer) at the third-party delivery company's fees.
In addition to the above, you are reminded that all delivery dates and times are approximate & the 3rd party services are completely out of our control. Should your delivery time/ dates be crucial, we strongly advise you to appoint your own couriers to avoid disappointment. We will not be held responsible for any loss or damage occurring as a result of a missed deadline.
In addition to the above, you are reminded that all delivery services are completely out of our control. Should your delivery time/ dates be crucial, we strongly advise you to appoint your own couriers to avoid disappointment. We will not be held responsible for any loss or damage occurring as a result of a missed deadline and in paying our invoices you enter into a contract and indemnify us of any legal action, claims or damages arising as a result.
In addition to the above, the contract for delivery is to the address listed on your invoice and not a specific person. The delivery will be made under full commercial terms and will not require handing over to a specific consignee. The goods will be handed over to anyone at that address. If no one is available, you agree for the goods to be left with a neighbour or in an appropriate area without further permission from ourselves and accepting full responsibility for the lack of availability. This also includes accepting responsibility/ liability if no signature being obtained.
In addition to the above, the 3rd party couriers retain the right to change the delivery date and time without further permission. If the goods are of a time sensitive nature, it is the responsibility of the recipient to ensure they have made suitable arrangements or are in regular contact with the couriers to avoid inconvenience/ disappointment.
In addition to the above, any orders commissioned as part of our BB ONLINE range may be subject to import regulations, customs checks, cut and run scenarios, tropical storm delays & severe sea delays all of which are out control. Importation comes with its own inherent risks of delays and delays are highly common. As such, the delivery date quoted is an estimate only and does not form part of the contract. Once again, Betterbounce will not be held liable for delays and all the above information applies.
ALL INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING, INCLUDING THE EU IS AIRPORT ONLY NOT DOOR TO DOOR. The client will remain responsible for all freight forwarding, Import duty, VAT liability and other fees in the country of receipt. This is not something we can assist with & we will not be held liable for delays or financial loss arising as a result. Please ensure you have budgeted for this prior to placing an order with our company and we strongly recommend using a 3rd party shipping agent to handle all affairs, including the acquisition EORI number or equivalent.
All deliveries are curb side and will require appropriate forklift truck and labour in place to handle the goods.
All returns must be packaged on pallets by yourselves, shrink wrapped & banded. We are unable to assist.
Please Note: No vat will need to be paid providing we are responsible for the export via our own shippers and not your own. Any client using their own agent will be treat as a UK soil sale until a POD is received from the export company and full vat must be paid before shipping. As soon as the POD is received, The refund will be with you within 7 days. Please bear this in mind when choosing a shipper.
Any agent using their own shippers will be required to produce their own documents in terms of commercial shipping documents, we also have no way of measuring the weight of goods in house. This normally falls within our own Freight forwarder companies remit and any figures given will purely be an estimate. If an item is subject to VAT. VAT will be charged and refunded on receipt of proof of export.
Please be aware that different countries have different export and entry requirements. It is impossible to know them all and as such, we only have generic import documentation that covers mots of the EU. Please request a copy of this documentation prior to ordering to ensure it is correct for your destination country. Betterbounce will not accept any liability for delays occurring as a result and in extreme cases,we may not even be able to obtain the documentation you require at all for your destination country.
PLEASE CHECK FIRST
13) Lost goods
If goods are lost, missing or stolen, the loss will be reported to the appropriate courier service who we appointed on your behalf, who will deal with the complaints accordingly. In most cases, the procedure is to place a trace or a missing item request onto the courier's system for a search to begin. A search usually lasts for up to 28 days before a declaration of lost can be made. The 28 days starts from the date of the initiated trace NOT the date we entered correspondence.
After the 28 days expired and the goods have been declared lost, we can initiate the claims procedure. As soon as we receive this confirmation, we will refund you and pursue the damages on your behalf, providing you have not contributed towards the loss.
As frustrating as this process may be, we do have to give the couriers chance to locate the goods before they are replaced, and the correct procedures must be followed.
In addition to the above, you are reminded that all delivery services are completely out of our control. Should your delivery time/ dates be crucial, we strongly advise you to appoint your own couriers to avoid disappointment. We will not be held responsible for any loss or damage occurring as a result of a missed deadline and in paying our invoices you enter into contract and indemnify us of any legal action, claims or damages arising as a result.
14) Goods arriving damaged or damaged in transit
In the event that goods are damaged in transit, the damage must be spotted and reported to the delivery driver immediately on delivery. DO NOT accept/ sign for the goods under any circumstances and reject the parcel. In ALL cases, accepting delivery and physically keeping the goods is has the exact same effect as signing or not signing. For a claims process to be initiated, the goods must have been rejected and not be in your possession. Accepting delivery and will make things very difficult to pursue on your behalf and will slow down the investigation process whilst leading to an almost impossible claim and further 2-way shipping expenses being incurred.
Once a damaged item has been rejected and returned, It will be reported to the appropriate courier service who will deal with the complaints accordingly. In most cases, the procedure is to place an investigation or claim request onto the courier's system for an investigation to begin. An investigation usually lasts for up to 28 days before a declaration can be made. The 28 days starts from the date of the initiated report was submitted, not the delivery date of the goods or the date we entered into correspondence.
After the 28 days has expired, it may take up to another 28 days for a refund to be received. Sadly, until the outcome of the couriers is known and settled, we will not be able to offer a solution, refund/ replacement or advice. As frustrating as this process may be, we do have to give the couriers chance to investigate and this is out of our hands.
15) General delivery information

16) Delivery procedure:
As all our deliveries are made for us by nationwide specialist carriers, it is very important that the following procedures are adhered to. Please take note as it’s not like other services you may be used to:
- Examine the goods carefully before accepting delivery. Signing ‘unchecked’, or ‘not Checked’ or similar is not acceptable and will be rejected should you later rely on this signature.
- If the product is damaged, then please refuse delivery and do not sign for it. We are insured and pay extra for a free return service at our expense. If you do not refuse a damaged delivery, there will be no claim can be made on your behalf later and no reimbursement of delivery costs. You will also have to pay a return fee. DO NOT keep damaged goods under any circumstances.
- Please keep the customer copy of the carrier’s documentation in case a dispute needs to be raised.
- You must inform us as soon as possible, at least within 24 hours of delivery or attempted delivery, of any problems so we can prepare for the return.
- Title and risk in the goods shall pass to you upon delivery and receipt by the carriers of a signed delivery note.
Following all the above will ensure the correct procedures are followed and that liability is accepted on deliveries. This allows us to claim on the party at fault without hindrance to yourself or organisation. Without any of the above, the liability will be wholly on the receiver.
Please remember that you have 30 minutes to inspect deliveries made by pallet and 15 minutes for deliveries made as a package (per item). Please ensure you are prepared for delivery as to avoid disappointment. DO NOT accept or sign for goods that are damaged and return them immediately.
When accepting /signing for a delivery, you are accepting/ signing to say that you have inflated or checked the goods to a level you are happy with and are 100% satisfied with the goods. Should goods not be checked on delivery, we cannot be held responsible for any return fees associated with the products. The delivery service we pay for includes check and return free of charge, please take advantage of this and do not accept/ sign for goods unchecked.
Please ensure you have the correct inflation device available to check any inflatables goods ready prior to arrival, in case they arrive separately to your order.
Please also be aware that some photos have been edited, enhanced and photo shopped for marketing purposes.
Should you opt not to use your own courier, all goods movements are entered into contract with a 3rd party on your behalf. Our company will not be help responsibility for any loss or damage due to the above procedures not been adhered to. As above, delivery dates do not form part of the contract.

This includes accessories, softplay, mats and generally anything thats not inflatable.
Warranty covers only manufacturing faults or material faults. It will not cover general wear and tear or cuts and rips in the material. If it does fall within our warranty, then we will pay for the repair under our return to base warranty scheme. Return to base means that you return it to our base, and we will repair it free of charge no matter how big the issue. You will be responsible for the costs associated with the return.
The Betterbounce direct guaranteed warranty only applies to the person who purchased the product from Betterbounce direct. No warranty is transferable.
Completion of repairs will be done within a reasonable period. Please remember that during busy periods of the year, a reasonable period may be longer than other periods of the year. We will always try to fit it around yourselves and bookings that you have been made, but we will not be responsible for the consequential loss because of the repair. Repairs and exchanges may take up to 12 weeks. No further compensation will be offered.
In some cases, you have the right for the products to be inspected by the materials and components suppliers which could take a further 4 to 6 weeks depending on time of year. Betterbounce will have the final say on what is major and minor works. All minor works such as loose stitching, stress areas ect will be repaired only and do not give right to a replacement product like full product issues such as all area delamination would.
All stock inflatables are warranted for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase to be free from manufacturing or materials defects. Breach of any of the rules for safe operation will invalidate the warranty.
What does warranty cover and for how long?
The 24 month warranty covers the material and stitching work, The artwork & roofing materials are subject to a 1 year warranty and all Velcro products do not come with a warranty as it is difficult to prove accidental or malice although we are very helpful if and when issues arise. All blowers are 1 year’s warranty with a 1 years extended warranty on completion of warranty card and returning to the suppliers. The blower warranty is honoured by Gibbons and NOT Betterbounce.
All accessories and 3rd party products are warrantied for 6 months and will be dealt with by the suppliers directly NOT Betterbounce.
In purchasing from better bounce you agreed to indemnify us from further litigation arising from any warranty claims outside of the actual warranty work such as out of pocket expenses, loss of earnings, return to base expenses will be dismissed. Betterbounce will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage associated with any aspect of warranty work, however, we will endeavour to return the item to you as quickly as possible.
Goods supplied by our company are not tested or sold as fit for any particular purpose other than the purpose in which they are designed & tested to do and are warranted strictly on that basis.
Better Bounce has over 30 years’ experience of Inflatable manufacture and a very low warranty returns rate. We can tell the difference between a genuine defect and those caused by neglect, misuse or damage. Our decision is final as regards warranty claims and we reserve the right to charge for repairs that do not meet warranty conditions. Any item undergoing a formal inspection and deemed not to have a genuine warranty issue will attract a £65 to £250 inspection fee made payable before collection dependent on size and weight of the product.
In the event of a warranty claim, in the first instance please send your claim in writing or email to the address listed on our contact us page with photographs of the defect attached or enclosed for instructions. Then after a preliminary decision is made, we will be happy to take delivery of your goods.
The buyer is responsible for the delivery and collection of the product to and from our premises, including all shipping and handling costs. Upon delivery, the product will be inspected for manufacturers defects and any work deemed not to fall within will be rejected.
Once in receipt of goods, Better Bounce will then carry out authorised repairs either under warranty or as a charged repair and package the goods according to your chosen collection method.
This warranty is NOT transferable, and proof of purchase will be required.
Nothing herein affects any additional statutory rights conferred by law.
We are not a mail order company, We are a business to business commercial manufacturing company and as such, every Betterbounce sale is made on a personal collections basis ensuring you are able to inspect your purchase before it leaves the building, although we are happy to arrange carriage for you at your cost. On this note it is, therefore, the sole responsibility of the purchaser to arrange and pay for delivery to and from our premises for warranty work to be undertaken. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please see our delivery terms for details.
All warranty returns must be presented back to us in an acceptable condition to be worked on. We will not accept inflatables that are wet, dirty, soiled, wrapped up larger than expected, damaged or likely to cause damage to other products in the factory. Deliveries of this nature will be rejected. Likewise should goods be left in our possession for longer than 14 days in such a poor state, the gods will be placed into storage at the rate of £10 per day. The goods will be disposed of once the storage fees reach the residual value of the inflatable and no compensation will be offered as a result. All returns must be packaged on pallets by yourselves, shrink wrapped & banded. We are unable to assist.
Please also bear in mind that when carrying out repairs they may never ever go back to the way in which they were. Sewing over existing PVC is not possible and as such we have to sew narrower and around the damaged areas, This gives unpredictable results and inevitably the inflatable will get smaller and smaller and curve, distort and lift in certain areas where it didn't. Please consider this before allowing us to carry out the works.
In purchasing from Betterbounce, you agree that any warranty claims made after 6 months waiver the right to a replacement product. After 6 months, we will only ever modify and repair the product to Betterbounce scheme testing standards. We will never ever replace a product, regardless of cost or issue. You also agree to indemnify us from any loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity or any indirect, special, exemplary, consequential, incidental or punitive loss or any damage whatsoever, even if advised of the possibility of such damages in advance as a result of any warranty periods.
For any test certificate or EN14960 related warranty work, Please refer to section 24)
Goods supplied by our company are not tested or sold as fit for any particular purpose other than the purpose in which they are designed & tested to do and are warranted strictly on that basis.
All sales are done on a strict business to business contact arrangement and as such, are not subject to the consumer credit act, trading standards or the sale of goods act and are subject to force majeure. The estimated design life of all our inflatable products is 5 years before retirement to a non commercial environment.
Please Note: As of 01.04.2013, All inflatables presented for repair or testing will be retrofitted with a Betterbounce tag as pictured below, regardless of who the original manufacturer was. The tag will allow both ourselves and other organisations track the status of the inflatable and its compliance with EN14960. These tags will also be retrofitted to inflatable games falling outside of the scope of EN14960 for ease of transition, as and when they are included in the standard.
This might also make some inflatables appear as though they were manufactured by Betterbounce direct so please contact us to verify a serial number if unsure. We will be happy to help verify the number.
20) Fair usage policy
Just like all major retailers, we operate a strict fair usage policy. All manufactured products and warranties are designed to cope with a fair usage policy. This is based on a typical hire of 1 or 2 times per week during peak periods in summer and NOT constant use and abuse from Permanently sited locations including but not limited to Funfairs, Showman’s Locations, Permanent pitches, Seafront & theme park attractions. Inflatables located in un-ordinary locations should expect accelerated wear and tear and will not be covered by the warranty. Locations close to the seafront and other abnormal environments will be excluded from the warranty.
The estimated design life of all our inflatable products is 5 years before retirement to a non commercial environment.
21) Social Media
Any discussions over warranty or defects released into the public domain such as social media will invalidate your warranty. The warranty is in place for the client to take advantage of our obligations to rectify any issues you may have. Problems do occur and we are human BUT we will work tirelessly to resolve any issues where feasible but public notification prior or after resolution will not be accepted.
22) Artwork
No returns are accepted on nonstandard or custom products. All returns on other items must be done within 14 working days. restocking fees apply. Any agreed exchanges pass the rights of resale back to Betterbounce regardless of branding or personal details or specification unless a 60% reimbursement is paid.
All our inflatable products can be provided with artwork if required. Betterbounce are able to manufacture custom artwork to the client’s specifications, however please note that when customisation is required, we are only able to commission artwork if you agree to obtain permission from the copyright owner, Intellectual Property owner, Trademark owner, Patent owner of the ideas, designs, Images or artworks you intend to use along with permission for its alteration/ Manipulation.
Permission for any of the above will not be checked, verified or obtained on your behalf & we insist that the client always ensures compliance . Betterbounce will not be held responsible for any unauthorised use and in placing an order with us you agree to accept full responsibility of the consequences of breaching any relevant laws. The client also agrees to provide Betterbounce Ltd, along with its employees & directors indemnity should any legal claims arise.
Please conduct your own research or speak to a relevant solicitor prior to placing an order if you are unsure. A good source of information can be found through the following link for general advice https://www.gov.uk/topic/intellectual-property/copyright
Please be aware that all products with Velcro artwork are completely different from product to product no matter how similar it may look unless it has the identical reference numbers it will be different. Even at that stage, there will be minor discrepancies as everything is handmade. Any agreed exchanges pass the rights of resale back to Betterbounce regardless of branding or personal details or specification.
Artwork provided by the client.
All artwork provided to us by or on behalf of the client will be retained by our artwork department and maybe used on later projects without express permission. If this presents and issue and you do not wish for this artwork to be reproduced, please provide us with a Non-Disclosure Agreement or refusal of design and we will be happy to remove the artwork from our system.
General Construction
Please also note that certain designs such as Slides & Disco Domes that receive large amounts of seam pressure require being made in a conventional seam method as opposed to a flat stitch and as such can distort the artwork at seams. If this is a problem, please let us know in advance and we can alter the panels to take a flat stitch, but this may reduce the warranty length and incur a higher cost.
We also reserve the right to change stitching methods on any other product where we see fit. Betterbounce does not possess the technology to produce seamless artwork on traditionally seamed inflatables. The stitching method also does not form part of the contract and you will often find physical black seam guidelines printed into the artwork to ensure maximum accuracy.
In addition to the above, Betterbounce reserve the right to manufacture our inflatables in either one of our factories or a 3rd party factory located anywhere in the world. This decision is at our own discretion and without the express permission of the client.
23) ADIPS on trailer rides manufactured by Betterbounce
If an ADIPS test is required, Our designated tester is Charlie Bowers or Paul Geary. We would be happy to provide you with their details as they are the only testers who hold our design review. It may not be possible for any other tester to test our trailers as we do not hold a design review in-house for fraud purposes. All new testers will need to create their own design review at significant other costs. As all tests are completed by 3rd party ADIPS inspectors, we refuse to be held liable for any delays or inefficiencies in paperwork or design. ADIPS hold all the paperwork NOT ourselves.
DO NOT OPERATE ANY INFLATABLE PURCHASED FROM US WITHOUT HAVING READ AND UNDERSTOOD OUR DESIGN REVIEW AND TEST CERTIFICATION IN FULL. FAILURE TO READ AND UNDERSTAND MAY RESULT IN SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH.
24) Safety Inspection Certificate
24a) All our inflatables undergo a strict testing procedure to ensure our inflatables comply with relevant guidance. This testing is done inline with the HSE Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) requirements “To be tested annually by a competent person. This test varies from inflatable to inflatable, depending on which legislation cover the inflatable.
EN14960 covers inflatables designed specifically for bouncing and sliding by children under the age of 14. Novelty inflatables, Simulator inflatables, Rodeo inflatables, Activity inflatables, Knockout Inflatables, adult inflatables & other inflatable items are not legislated for anywhere whatsoever and in the absence of HSE defining a competent person, we must use our own interpretation of what is and what isn't safe based on our own risk assessments only. All goods supplied by our company are not tested or sold as fit for any particular purpose other than the purpose in which they are designed & tested to do. Only the designer or manufacturer can specify what this might be.
Better Bounce direct provides manufacturers certificates for all its inflatables as standard under the HSE Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) requirements, However from time to time, some organisations may wish to disagree with our interpretations or specifications. As a result, it's imperative that you check with your chosen organisation before placing an order in order to avoid later disappointment.
Sadly, it is all too common that the interpretation of the regulations are exploited or misinterpreted. To Avoid any issues later, please specify which test you would prefer at the time of manufacture. Your chosen test will determine how your warranty claim is dealt with so please be familiar with all test methods or contact us for advice in advance of your order.
If your chosen test organisation is Betterbounce and the Betterbounce scheme, you needn't do anything as this testing scheme will apply by default. For further details please visit our Testing page or Health & safety page to make an informed decision prior to ordering.
As of April 2016, all our in-house test certificates maybe issued electronically. Most of our products have been manufactured using risk assessment. Our risk assessment is based on over 25 years of design, manufacture & sales experience, other manufacturers ideas, discussions, decisions & precedence, over 25 years’ worth of customer feedback & vital historic data, combined with 25 years design review details, recorded injury accident data & over 12 years’ experience hiring over 300 Betterbounce products up to 5,000 hires a year, feedback from over 20,000 products sold worldwide, all cross referenced, tweaked, tweaked again and evolved over time from discussions & feedback from PIPA, RPII, HSE, BSI & ADIPS testers.
EN14960 has many clauses which are widely regarded as a grey area or an area requiring risk assessment and as such one testers “Opinion” may vary from our own BUT may not necessarily be incorrect.
Our risk assessment may differ from the risk assessment of other testers so please bear this in mind when purchasing. Should you have any specific test requirements, please consult with your ADIPS, TUV, NAFLIC, RPII, PIPA or other inspector prior to ordering/ purchasing and we will be happy to accommodate your requirements at this time. We are more than happy to work with your chosen testers and provide detailed CAD drawings and specifications to ensure you are your chosen test regime are happy, all free of charge.
Or better still, We can appoint and work directly with an independent ADIPS, TUV, NAFLIC, RPII, PIPA or other inspector prior to ordering/ purchasing should that be the scheme you choose to persue throughout the inflatables life.
Please bear in mind, any alteration requests, warranty claims & amendments to design of inflatables after your initial test at Betterbounce will not be considered. Any inflatable falling outside of the scope of en14960, even if the initial better bounce test or inflatable tag refers to EN14960 will also not be considered due to lack of official regulations from BSI available and the huge scope for difference in opinion.
As of 06.06.2016, We have made the decision to fit inflatable EN14960 tags to all inflatables produced by Betterbounce Direct. This includes inflatables falling outside the scope of EN14960, However please dont be alarmed if these are left blank. These tags have been fitted to inflatable games falling outside of the scope of en14960 for ease of transition in the future, as and when they are included in the standard. The tag will allow both ourselves and other organisations to track the status of the inflatable, its age, manufactured date should they be required in any future tests.
Please remember that when purchasing an inflatable from Betterbounce you are choosing to accept the opinion of Betterbounce and the Betterbounce scheme on all areas of testing and the way in which we interpret EN14960 unless choosing another test method for th initial test certification at the time of order.
Should any of our items be tested by a 3rd party organisation such as ADIPS, TUV, NAFLIC, RPII, PIPA after the initial test period and it be unfortunate enough to fail, Betterbounce will not honour the rectification works unless you requested the original test at time of manufacturer to be ADIPS, TUV, NAFLIC, RPII, PIPA retrospectively.
Ie, If your inflatable is supported by a PIPA Tag & test at the time of order/manufacture and initial test for example, these changes will be perused on your behalf with that inspector/ inspection body. If the inflatable was not PIPA tag and tested at the time of manufacture, sadly we are unable to consider alterations and claims further down the line.
Notwithstanding the above, we are open to suggestions by other inspectors/ testers on all grey areas of documents such EN14960 & do pro-actively encourage the testing system as a whole. We are happy to be challenged on any aspect of our manufacture and are more than happy to amend designs at our own expense should we agree on future versions of the product. Please also remember that industry guidance changes regularly and information may change from the date of manufacture.
Please bear in mind that when you pay an external body for subsequent tests, you are paying for a professional opinion based on the views, guidance and risk assessments of that person and organisation. Sadly, that person's summary may differ from the views of our organisation. In the absence of information we will always favor our own scheme. In choosing the Betterbounce test regime over any other scheme, you agree to indemnify us from any loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity or any indirect, special, exemplary, consequential, incidental or punitive loss or any damage whatsoever, even if advised of the possibility of such damages in advance.
Guidance notes and testing instructions also vary and change from time to time within certain organisations and isnt always in sync either. The guidance usually changes when new information or findings come to light. Sadly it's impossible to predict the future and we may update designs from year to year as we listen to feedback and suggestions. No warranty or financial compensation will be offered, even if Betterbounce is deemed at fault.
Any organisation updates and guidance to the standard should dated and as per BSI, Standards cannot be applied retrospectively so shouldn't affect your test status, especially if you opted to use the Betterbounce Scheme, However, we do reserve the right to change our opinion and charge for any alterations we may feel are necessary during your annual inspection.
All original test paperwork and logbooks are given to the customer on delivery. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to retain these documents for future reference. Betterbounce do not always keep accurate records and do not keep copies beyond 12 months.
On inflatables accompanied by a Design review pack, we reserve the right to be shortened the test procedure as we see no reason to re-measures the castles height, width or length.
We also see no reason to recalculate bouncing areas, number of anchor points, maximum user heights, maximum number of users, bed & wall heights, perform Flame retardant tests of materials (as we batch test on delivery) as all these points will be carried out on the first product in which the design review is completed. A proper test will still be carried out with regards to all other aspects. If you have any queries regarding this, please contact us prior to order.
In addition to the above, Betterbounce reserve the right to manufacture our inflatables in either one of our factories or a 3rd party factory located anywhere in the world. This decision is at our own discretion and without the express permission of the client.
24b) Flame retardancy
Please be aware that Flame retardant (FR) coatings on some materials can be shorter than others. The length of time a fabric remains FR varies depending on usage, UV and water exposure, air conditions, cleaning products and other influential factors.
As a result, ALL fabrics will are excluded from our 2 years warranty period, and will only be covered for 1 year, However, FR, waterproofing & barrier sprays are available in a simple spray format on the internet and we reserve the right to redirect you towards a re-application spray should any materials be failed by your chosen test body.
All materials are tested prior to both production and certifications verified at the time of manufacture. We do not give out actual certifications to the public, testers or testing bodies as a general rule. As part of your purchase you will receive a written conformity check on your initial test certificate. No further documents will be provided. This is to protect our material source and our unique formulations from the wider industry, however, we would of course always provide documents in a court of law, should the need arise.
Please also be aware that any discrepancies in FR validation from alternative testing bodies must demonstrate a fair test and not the famous "5 seconds with a lighter in the workshop test" The FR test is a special laboratory controlled test regulated by ASTM F 963 & NF P 92-507:2004 reports with official testing.
In the event a testing body failure, we will provide all the FR evidence from the time of manufacture within 56 days.
Please note; Flame retardancy failure after the warranty period does not constitute evidence contrary to the original test documents and we will not be held liable for any disputes that may arise as a result of the above. Please ensure you discuss these requirements with either ourselves or your chosen test body prior to purchase as discussions after manufacture will be dismissed.
The estimated design life of all our inflatable products is 5 years before retirement to a non commercial environment for test purposes.
24c) Maximum User Heights & Maximum User Numbers
The maximum user height of inflatables is decided by the manufacturer. This takes into account the height of the walls, slopes, climbs, toys and implements, along with other influential design and play factors unless the item is to be used for other purposes and not specifically designed for bouncing and sliding.
Bouncy castles designed for use under the scope of EN14960 are likely to have higher walls to contain child users. Inflatables falling outside of the scope of EN14960 and adult inflatables are likely to have lower wall heights as users generally have the ability to sense and protect themselves from danger with wall heights having very little to do with containment.
In most cases maximum user data still may apply.
Wall heights are measured from the lowest point of the bed to the highest inflated part of the wall, some testers may measure from seam to seam or from the top of the bed. As such all measurements are approximate. If user height is imperative, please contact us prior to manufacture for exact data.
Please bear in mind that external testing bodies may agree or disagree with our views and as such it would be beneficial to contact them prior to us commencing manufacture if you wish to have your inflatable tested outside of the Betterbounce scheme throughout the inflatables life, especially if the inflatable falls outside of the scope of EN14960 where no formal guidance is available from British Standards. User heights on Adult inflatables and inflatable games may differ from that of traditional inflatables.
In ordering from Betterbounce and choosing the Betterbounce scheme, you agree to our initial user height and number statistics and agree to indemnify us from any loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity or any indirect, special, exemplary, consequential, incidental or punitive loss or any damage whatsoever, as a result of alternative organisations wishing to make changes to our user data.
Maximum user weights
All inflatables are designed with the following weight users in mind, regardless of the user height as follows:
- Slides upto 6ft platform: 65kg
- Slides over 6ft platform: 85kg
- Inflated walls, under 12x15ft with 300mm thick walls (approx.): 65kg
- Inflated walls, over 12x15ft with 300mm thick walls (approx.): 75kg
- Inflated walls, under 12x15ft with 500mm thick walls (approx.): 75kg
- Inflated walls, over 12x15ft with 500mm thick walls (approx.): 85kg
- Netted walls, under 12x15ft: 55kg
- Netted walls, over 12x15ft: 55kg
- Obstacle course Netted walls (When used for the purpose in which it was designed for): 85kg
- Obstacle course Netted walls (When used for bouncing and sliding not racing): 65kg
- Moonwalk Domes upto 15x15 : 75kg
- Moonwalk Domes over 15x15 : 85kg
- This maybe subject to change on specific inflatables and not guaranteed, Please ask before purchase if this is crucial
24d) Test Certificate & EN14960 Warranty Issues/ Claims
Our test certificate warranty covers the testing scheme you initially choose at the point of manufacture. The most popular scheme by far is the Betterbounce scheme as the scheme covers all inflatables falling both inside and outside of EN14960 and is our default scheme unless and alternative scheme is chosen at the point of order.
Popular alternative schemes include the following and we are more than happy to work with them in relation to your order. Simply let us know your requirements at the time of order and this service is usually free of charge.
- ADIPS testing scheme
- RPII testing scheme
- SIS Testing scheme
- TUV testing scheme
- NAFLIC testing scheme
- PIPA testing scheme
- Other scheme are available
24d/1) Better bounce scheme - If you have a testing issue and the initial test scheme chosen is the better bounce Scheme, Then simply raise a concern to our office via details mentioned in the Contact us page
Your request must be made in writing and follow supported by the following documentation;
- Initial purchase invoice & Delivery date
- Initial test certificate
- Initial design review
- All subsequent test certificates, including any fail sheets & test worksheets
- Why you may have a testing issue
Once all the above information has been received, Our designers and testers will work with you to resolve the issue quickly and amicably inline with the information provided in these terms and conditions. We aim to respond initially within 14 days and have the issue booked in for a resolution within 28 days. In order to validate your claim, we will need the inflatables to be returned to base in order to retest and verify your claim.
If your testing warranty claim is on a shelf stock item that was not custom made to order and falls within 14 days of receipt, we will look to exchange or replace or refund the product, subject to shipping and restock fees and the item being in a brand new and unused condition.
If the testing warranty claim is outside of this period or used, we will look to repair or modify the item as we see fit. In all cases we must receive the items back into our warehouse for further testing and investigation. Please remember as administrators of the Betterbounce testing scheme, our word is final.
24d/2) Other schemes - If you have a testing issue and the initial test scheme was one of the other inflatable testing schemes available, It will be very difficult for us to help. Please remember that in selecting your chosen testing scheme, you chose to run with the testing views and opinions of that testing organisation at that time.
We may or may not have to liaise with your chosen inspection body and make modifications to our standard inflatable in order to suit that organisations interpretations at the time of manufacture. In the event of failure by another tester or inspection body further down the line, you would need to contact the inspector who carried out the initial inspection alongside our initial inspection for that organisation in order to address any issues you may have, However we will still be happy to offer impartial advice.
For us to help, simply raise a concern to our office via details mentioned in the Contact us page
Your request must be made in writing and follow supported by the following documentation;
- Initial purchase invoice & Delivery date
- Initial test certificate
- Initial design review
- All subsequent test certificates, including any fail sheets & test worksheets

In order to validate your claim, we may need the inflatables to be returned to base in order to retest and verify your claim.
24d/3) Mixed Schemes - If you have a testing issue where the initial test scheme chosen is the better bounce scheme, yet the inflatable was subsequently failed by a 3rd party tester from a 3rd party organisation such as ADIPS, TUV, NAFLIC, SIS, RPII or PIPA ect after the initial annual test period, then simply raise a concern to our office via details mentioned in the Contact us page
Your request must be made in writing and follow supported by the following documentation;

If your testing warranty claim is on a shelf stock item that was not custom made to order and falls within 14 days of receipt, we will look to exchange or replace or refund the product, subject to shipping and restock fees and the item being in a brand new and unused condition, no quibble.
If the testing warranty claim is outside of this period or used, we will look to repair or modify the item if we agree with the 3rd party organisations reports. In all cases we must receive the items back into our warehouse for further testing and investigation. Once again the decision of Betterbounce and the Betterbounce schemes decision is final.
As noted in section 24a above, The opportunity to liaise with external bodies is not after manufacture and initial test. The correct time is during the order stage where alterations, amendment and differences of opinion are much easier to implement. In failure scenarios such as this, we will provide a full response and reasoning and of course, however we reserve the right not to make any alterations, replacements or refunds.
On the very rare occasions that Betterbounce scheme inflatables fail a 3rd party test, It's previously being due to updated guidance notes, updated training and new information from 3rd party organisation that were not available at the time of manufacture and or updated British standard documents, which of course cannot be applied retrospectively.
In initially choosing the Betterbounce test regime over any other scheme at the time of purchase, you agree to indemnify us from any loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity or any indirect, special, exemplary, consequential, incidental or punitive loss or any damage whatsoever, even if advised of the possibility of such damages in advance.
Should our warranty claim procedure not be exhausted or evidence provided as outlined above, We will be unable to assist. It is down to the purchaser to ensure they keep and retail all documents related to purchase, along with any test paperwork and certification.
Any failure to adhere to the above that leads to a chargeback, external complaint, ombudsman or court action will be pursued.
For further details please visit our Testing page or Health & safety page to make an informed decision prior to ordering.
25) Inflatable tags
Max user height and Max Number of users details also available on request in advance and are also featured in our design review packs or online. We do not always write on the inflatables as this data may change depending on the testing body and intended usage. DO NOT USE THE INFLATABLE UNTIL THIS DATA HAS BEEN ENTERED ONTO THE INFLATABLES THIS WILL INVALIDATE YOUR INSURANCE.
Notes regarding Operating pressure
HSE has stated that they now want the end-users to ensure the inflatable has all the required pressures you'd normally find on an annual test during everyday hires. They require this information to be checked on delivery and recorded along with any relevant wind speeds. They also insist in other documents that these devices are calibrated annually so please ensure you have one calibrated.

If the Manometer reading is over 4" water gauge(1 kpa) then the inflatable can be used in line with EN14960.
If the Manometer reading fails to achieve 4" water gauge (1 kpa), then simply change the blower for another and retest, Add an additional blower or use a larger horsepower blower to achieve 4" water gauge (1 kpa).
If none of the above work to achieve the 4" water gauge (1 kpa) requirements, then the inflatable is not fit for use and must not be used.
Why do we use manometers and not rely on blower HP?
A 1.5HP blower from every manufacturer gives a different pressure reading from new on the same inflatable with a range as big as 20%
The HP is the power of the motor and gives no indication of how much air leaves the blower or at what speed or pressure it leaves so its completely irrelevant to anything other than an initial guess at which one to pick out and try first.
- Now age a blower 3-4 years and you've another 10-25% drop.
- Dirty fan blades mess with the airflow, another 10-30% drop.
- Add a 50m extension cable and the pressure reduces further.
- Use the HORN7 cable with a better AMP rating and the pressure goes up.
- Use 1.5mm 3 core instead of 2.5mm and it goes down.
- Use multiple splitters or feed disco or light units from the same cable and the pressure goes down.
- Use a 4Hp petrol blower and you're somewhere around a 2.5-3Hp electric blower capacity equivalent.
- Use a generator and your HP can drop out by up to 30% too.
- This alone can reduce an inflatable from being perfect on a 1.5HP to needing a 2HP.
Now throw multiple blower tubes into the mix and the whole theory of HP is wiped out. You can use whatever combination of blowers you see fit but they must always achieve the manufacturer's recommendations or a minimum of 1kpa at the unit. This must be measured at the inflatable with a Manometer device in line with HSE's recommendations.
This is why we do not specify a blower type. Please contact us prior to ordering, should you require any more detailed information.

30) Sizes
We reserve the right to terminate this agreement without notice if we suspect that you have been involved in any fraudulent or illegal activity.
We try to ensure that product details displayed on our site are correct and up to date. However, any error or omission in any information on the site, or in any electronic communication, sales information, quote, price lists, invoice or any other document issued by us will be subject to correction without any liability on our part. Images of products on site are intended only as a guide and actual product may differ in some respects.
All weights and dimensions when given are extremely approximate. All dimensions are approximate and are measured from a CAD drawing of the product NOT a real time measurement.
The size tolerance for measurements is anything up to 10% in each direction.
Due to the nature of inflatables and how they inflate, bow, bubble, twist, warp & rise off the floor when inflated, the measurements are given will vary massively from those given on this website. If measurements are crucial always add 2ft for clearance just in case.
Please do not confuse the title size of an item, with the exact 3D drawing and technical specification. we often use generic names in the title to reference a specific group of inflatables or a historic group name such as 11x15 or 12x12.
All our sizes say approximate next to them as its quite difficult to measure an inflatable from its widest point for example due to the way in which the PVC inflates. As such we use a predicted inflation value based on a 3D mock-up and not a real-life size. For example, an 8ft slide has a footprint of say 12ft wide, However the sides of the slide can bow outwards as much as 2ft, making the total width 14ft. Similarly, the 11x15 BB-008 is another example. The 11x15 has a 10ft footprint but measured 11ft exactly from the widest outer points of the side walls after inflation.

Whilst we have every intention of being able to produce a custom design on the first attempt, the results and success rates will vary from products to produce. As such all custom products are not covered under our warranty whatsoever. It is physically impossible to predict the usage of a new product without expensive product monitoring which is impossible, given the project is a 1st.
As with any new designs, there will be defects that take anything up to 5 evolution's and redesigns to get a perfect design. If perfection is required on the first attempt to market, we will require an extended 3-6 month lead time and require to build a number of prototypes and even then we can give no guarantee of success.
In some cases, a custom product will be beyond economical repair to rectify and if a full redesign and secondary build may be required. If this is the case, the secondary build will be charged for in full with the 1st product being cut up for examination, sold or disposed of. Please also bear in mind that when carrying out repairs they will never ever go back to the way in which they were. Sewing over existing PVC is not possible and as such we have to sew narrower and around the damaged areas, This gives unpredictable results and inevitably the inflatable will get smaller and smaller and curve, distort and lift in certain areas where it didn't. Please consider this before allowing us to carry out the works.
If the custom product forms just one part of one entirety. Please ensure that our manufactured part is completed first. Due the nature of inflatables, all custom builds have a tolerance of up to 500mm which could be crucial.
Betterbounce will not be held liable for any losses and inconveniences arising from the result of a custom product and will not enter a contract with unless the purchaser agrees on the above conditions
In addition to the above, Betterbounce reserve the right to manufacture our inflatables in either one of our factories or a 3rd party factory located anywhere in the world. This decision is at our own discretion and without the express permission of the client.
If items are manufacturer in multiple numbers, each unit is not forced to be identical, even when invoiced as such, especially on custom designs. It is common for joints to be added, seams to be added, moved, removed and for manufacturing techniques to be improved and made easier without consent from the client, operations such as set up and de-rig may change significantly, however the "essence" will remain the same.
Orders may be cancelled by ourselves if a balance payment has not been made within 30 days of the full order being completed. Failure to make the balance payment within the agreed time would mean you forfeiture any payments made, and we reserve the right to peruse the client for the outstanding balance and dispose of the goods as we see fit. This may include selling the goods and we reserve the right to still pursue the client for the original balance, even after disposal.
38) Return of goods:
All stock returned must be done so at the buyer's expense and must be in an unused and undamaged condition. All items will be inspected at some point after arrival and both inflatable & funds will be held in quarantine until such an inspection has taken place. should there be any issues, funds will be held until such time as the issues can be resolved. Inspections may take up to 30 days.
All items returned through no fault of our own, I.e., the buyer changed their mind, didn't read a listing properly or failed to check an invoice properly will be subject to a minimum restock fee of 50% on standard made to order products only or 20% on in-stock standard line products, minus any initial delivery fees.
This returns policy only covers standard product lines and does not cover any goods custom manufactured to order or clearance goods, listed in the clearance section of the website. All custom made and clearance products are non-refundable.
Items returned as faulty will be repaired under our return to base warranty. No exchange will be offered.
Returns must also be completed within 14days or returns will be rejected. Any agreed exchanges pass the rights of resale back to Betterbounce regardless of branding or personal details or specification unless a 60% reimbursement is paid.

All returns must be packaged on pallets by yourselves, shrink wrapped & banded. We are unable to assist.

39) Deposits
Deposits received are non-refundable on items manufactured for your needs. All Orders will be cancelled if a balance payment has not been made within 30 days of the full order being completed. Failure to make the balance payment within the agreed time would mean you forfeiting your deposit to enable us to sell the items made for you on to other clients. It is also not our responsibility to chase clients, although reasonable attempts will be made to contact you.
Extended orders/ Additions to existing orders - Deposits may be transferred to other products added to orders for ease of transaction during our business together providing a steady 25% deposit is held across all orders. Should this deposit level drop below 25% then we reserve the right to request an additional deposit balance to cover the additions to secure the continued manufacture of goods.
Should part of the order be collected/ ready or shipped at the client or manufactured request, there must still be a clear 25% balance help on the remaining order in order to keep goods held. Should this deposit level on a drop below 25% then we reserve the right to request an additional deposit balance to cover the additions in order to release stock.

Should these terms lead to cancellation, Standard cancellation terms will apply.

All items will be inspected at some point after arrival and both inflatable & funds will be held in quarantine until such an inspection has taken place. should there be any issues, funds will be held until such time as the issues can be resolved. Inspections may take up to 30 days.

No refunds or exchanges are accepted under any circumstances on any custom designs & variations to standard products.
Should errors be made on our part during manufacture, Will endeavour to rectify the problem under warranty, however, any issues related to errors between quotation data and data supplied via an order form or purchase order will be dismissed. Remember; we are only able to carry out requests made in writing at the time of order. All prior discussions will not be considered unless mentioned at that time.
It is very common that multiple selections or contradictions are discussed during the quotation stage which can lead to confusion. ALL ORDERS MUST BE RECEIVED IN WRITING either via an order form or purchase order in order to guarantee accuracy. If this is not done by yourselves then we have no option but to proceed with our own interpretations regardless. Issues arising as a result during or after manufactured will not be discussed.

Whilst we have every intention of being able to produce a variation in design on the first attempt, the results and success rates will vary from product to product.

41) Specification & Quality
All PVC materials used will range between 350 & 610gsm Polyester or nylon coated double sided in PVC and finished with a caped grain (excludes slip sheets and accessories) We currently use three different material suppliers so material specification may vary slightly from product to product. The reason we use different thickness of materials is to keep the weight down, whilst keeping performance high in key areas. Please advise us if you require a specific type of material.
- All thread will be No20 Twisted bonded nylon in the natural, black or any coloured thread.
- All Hook & Loop (commonly known as Velcro) will be VELCRO®, however, Mansams Samgrip will be used as a substitute when Velcro stock are depleted
- All Zips will be No10 Double sided, extra thick weave. Location and style of zip may vary & not always feature a Velcro flap.
- All anchor points will be durable yet flexible & contain metal D-rings where its main purpose is bouncing and sliding.
- All PVC will be .3 to 05 mm thick as an average indicator from the supplier
- All other materials will be of good, sound quality & we reserve the right to vary these materials at our discretion.
- Inflatables will feature Pen identification markers on the PVC. You may see markers such as "M1" S24" "RS12" ect drawn on the surfaces. Pen lines to indicate panel timing marks for sewing, borders, step edges and lines for velcro ect. this is perfectly normal and may fade over time.
- The nature of PVC is that these compounds need to remain flexible for a bouncy castle to remain bouncy and flexible, and as such, some of these fillers can migrate to the surface which is perfectly normal. It's also normal for the filler to move around, fade and reappear in different locations from time to time. The most common appearance is due to folded PVC being in storage for a longtime, however this will fade and is perfectly normal.
- All seams on toys will be sewn flat or internal where possible and not hemmed with webbing.
- All stitching will be intact with an acceptable loose stitch limit of 1 per 5,000 stitches.
- Small marks, scuffs and deformations, less than 5% of the product will fall within manufacturing tolerances. This includes print runs, haze, blur or packaging scuffs and marks etc.
- All side walls and or toys attached directly to the bed will be either internally or flat stitched directly to the bed.
- Some of the corners at the final closing up of the build (usually at the base of the inflatables) will not be fully sewn in and around due to construction techniques, but sewn up to the seam which may be more visible on external seams than internal & this may result in some air loss. This will be a maximum of 35mm and should not effect pressure points.
- External seams are used on the outside of all walls, (including outside slide walls) and the base of all inflatables.
- All artwork is UV cured or laminated for durability at our discretion.
- Anchor and zip quantities, locations & exact positions vary from machinist to machinist. All inflatables will contain a minimum of 1 zip.
- We reserve the right to choose the stitch method in any given area for ease of build. We will use either external, internal, sandwich, flat stitched, hemmed, rolled, double rolled for ease of build.
- Foam shapes and mats will be supplied as a "best fit" these shapes will need to be reworked and the foam to settle in the shapes through regular use. They may originally feel tight or baggy but this is perfectly normal and will reduce over time. The same applies to pvc wrinkles from folding and shipping.
- Please be aware that Flame retardant (FR) coatings on some materials can be shorter than others. The length of time a fabric remains FR varies depending on usage, UV and water exposure, air conditions, cleaning products and other influential factors. As a result, ALL fabrics will are excluded from our 2 years warranty period, and will only be covered for 1 year, However, FR, waterproofing & barrier sprays are available in a simple spray format on the internet and we reserve the right to redirect you towards a re-application spray should any materials fail. Please also be aware than any failure reports from testing bodies must demonstrate a fair test and not the famous "5 seconds with a lighter in the workshop test" The FR test is a specially controlled test regulated by ASTM F 963 & NF P 92-507:2004 reports. In the event a failure, we will provide all the FR certification from the time of manufacture.
42) Replication of existing products
We are happy to replicate any existing products providing you have full copyright and permission to do so. The authorisation will not be sought by Betterbounce Direct.
Please bear in mind that replication from photographs or internet images are quite difficult and can only be designed using judgement, approximate proportions of scale, approximate measurements and good design instincts and as such, the finished product may vary slightly from the original. Betterbounce will not be held liable for any discrepancies.
The most accurate way to ensure 100% satisfaction is to deliver the existing product direct to us for replication. Whilst this is the most accurate method of production there will be some small discrepancies due to the inflatable nature of the product & the different construction techniques/ materials used by different manufacturers but the essence of the product will still remain and almost unnoticeable to the untrained eye.
Betterbounce Direct will not be held responsible for any variants in material type, material colour tone, artwork colour tone or quality. The replication will be done using our standard materials, procedures, construction techniques and other current supplies traditionally used by Betterbounce which may differ from the original regardless of the supplier (Including previous Betterbounce products)
In the absence of any formal specification or special instructions, we will revert to our standard specification. It will be presumed that only specifications given in writing at the time of order are crucial. We do not work to pan tones as standard and all pan-tone management is chargeable.
All artwork is UV cured or laminated for durability at our discretion.
Although we are able to manufacture custom products to the client’s specifications, please note that when customisation is required, we are only able to commission artwork & designs if you agree to obtain permission from the copyright owner, Intellectual Property owner, Trademark owner, Patent owner of the ideas, designs, Images or artworks you intend to use along with permission for its alteration/ Manipulation.
Permission for any of the above will not be checked, verified or obtained on your behalf & we insist that the client always ensures compliance.
Betterbounce Ltd will not be held responsible for any unauthorised use and in placing an order with us you agree to accept full responsibility of the consequences of breaching any relevant laws. The client also agrees to provide Betterbounce Ltd, along with its employees & directors indemnity should any legal claims arise.
Please conduct your own research or speak to a relevant solicitor prior to placing an order if you are unsure. A good source of information can be found through the following link for general advice https://www.gov.uk/topic/intellectual-property/copyright. Any agreed exchanges pass the rights of resale back to Betterbounce regardless of branding or personal details or specification unless a 60% reimbursement is paid.
If this is the case, the secondary build will be charged for in full of the 1st product being cut up for examination, sold or disposed of.
If the custom product forms just one part of one entirety. Please ensure that our manufactured part is completed first. Due the nature of inflatables, all custom builds have a tolerance of up to 300mm which could be crucial.
Betterbounce will not be held liable for any losses and inconveniences arising from the result of a custom product and will not enter into a contract with unless the purchaser agrees the above conditions.
43) Variations in design:
All Betterbounce products are handmade and as such there will be discrepancies in the way in which they are made. all sewers have their own unique style and way of manufacturing our inflatables. As such, identical products may often differ when examined up close.
Wall tabs will be higher or lower, roofs may be in sewn in, not sewn in, longer, shorter & zips may be in different locations. artwork will inevitably differ from those shown on the website due to the nature of inflatable printing techniques. Should you require exact and identical products, there would be a 100% co-ordination surcharge and we would require the inflatable in our premises to copy. Please mention at the time of booking if you have any special zip or roof requirements etc. and we will accommodate your request. Mistakes cannot be rectified after.
In the absence of any formal specification or special instructions, we will revert to our standard specification. It will be presumed that only specifications given in writing at the time of order are crucial.
As above, whilst we have every intention of being able to produce a variation in design on the first attempt, the final results and success rates will vary from products to product. As such all custom products are not covered under our warranty whatsoever. It is physically impossible to predict the usage of a new product without expensive product monitoring which is impossible, given the project is a 1st. We also reserve the right to add reinforcements where possible and all reinforcements will be in black webbing to avoid UV fading etc. We do not use coloured webbing on any products.
As with any new designs there will be defects that take anything up to 5 evolution's and redesigns to get a perfect design. If perfection is required on the first attempt to market, we will require an extended 3-6-month lead time and require building a number of prototypes and even them we can give no guarantee of success.

Betterbounce will not be held liable for any losses and inconveniences arising from the result of a custom product and will not enter into a contract with unless the purchaser agrees on the above conditions
In addition to the above, Betterbounce reserve the right to manufacture our inflatables in either one of our factories or a 3rd party factory located anywhere in the world. This decision is at our own discretion and without the express permission of the client.

All our inflatables come with the appropriate number of anchor stakes included. The number of anchor points is calculated by a very large wind loading calculation and IS an exact science. Its not as simple as just whacking in any old stakes. The stakes we provide comply with the current version of BS/EN14960 in which the stakes must achieve a minimum of 163kn of resistance. As a result, our stakes are manufactured to the following minimum specification.
- Heavy duty steel reinforced peg

Free - Sewn in blower tube strap to prevent accidental deflation.
Although everybody always uses the strap used to wrap the inflatable up to secure the blower tube in place, we sew an additional strap in place just in case.

All our inflatables come complete with a quad stitch bed and stress points to ensure maximum durability. Every time an overlapping panel is sewed together there is 6 layers of stitching applied to ensure it wont fail.

So for example... if we have a red, blue & green bouncy castle and you decide you don't like the green... just let us know and we'd be happy to substitute the green for say purple at no extra cost.
