Condolences on the Passing of Ken Lawrance
I am writing with a heavy heart to share the sad news of the passing of our inflatable industry friend, Ken Lawrance. It is with deep sorrow that I inform you of his death. Ken and I had a longstanding professional relationship that spanned many years, and his impact on both my personal and professional life has been immeasurable.
Ken Lawrence was one of the creators of the origination PM67 in the early 1990s and more latterly the co-creator of EN14960 and its variations over the years.
I had the privilege of working closely with Ken, who trained me on EN14960 standards and testing when I took over BetterBounce 12 years ago. Ken played a pivotal role in helping me navigate the industry and clean up the company I took over. At a time when others doubted Better bounces ability to change for the better and even the future of BetterBounce, Ken showed unwavering belief and respect in me and my business.
His guidance and support went a long way in shaping the success we have achieved today.
Ken's vast knowledge and expertise were evident throughout his career. He generously shared his wealth of experience, dedicating countless days to forging industry standards, improving safety regulations, and offering valuable advice to anyone who sought his guidance. His integrity, principles, and standing within the industry were unparalleled, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
While I did not have the opportunity to work with Ken during his time at the RPII, I am aware of the significant contributions he made as a Director of the organization.
He played an instrumental role in the development and establishment of the RPII, solidifying its reputation as a leader in the field throughout Europe.
Please accept my sincerest condolences on behalf of myself and the entire team at BetterBounce.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Ken's family during this difficult time, and we stand in solidarity with them in mourning his loss.
The RPII Board has also conveyed their heartfelt condolences to his family on behalf of its members and he will be sadly missed.
We will keep you informed of the funeral arrangements as soon as they become available, so you can pay your respects and honor Ken's memory.
RIP Mr. Lawrance
Lee Scott (Betterbounce)
