Inflatable Operator Manuals – What You Need to Know
As many of you may already be aware, PIPA has now added Operator Manuals to the list of mandatory items required for the annual test of inflatable equipment. While there is a 12-month grace period, it's crucial that operators begin to align with this new standard to avoid any last-minute issues down the line.
That said, this requirement is nothing new. Under EN14960, operator manuals have been a crucial part of compliance for nearly 20 years. The recent spotlight from PIPA is simply reinforcing what has always been best practice—after all, how can an operator safely and correctly use an inflatable without formal instructions? It’s about ensuring safety, understanding limitations, and using the product as intended.
At Betterbounce, we take compliance seriously—but we also understand that every inflatable is different. That’s why our Operator Manuals are not “one size fits all”. With 67 variations currently in use, it's vital that you’re using the correct manual for the correct inflatable.
