All our inflatables are sold on the basis that you are or your organisation has a dedicated competent person and that you or your organisation possess the skills required to operate such equipment. Whilst our products do come with some guidance, We must insist you are fully competent in the requirements of the HSE & have a full understanding of the operational elements of EN14960. Do NOT operate this equipment without the required training or competence levels.
Please be aware that in the absence of any legislation or guidance for items falling both inside and outside the scope of EN14960, We use snippets of EN14960, EN71, Other british standards, Risk Assessment, 25 years of manufacturing experience, accident data and other documentation to issue certifications. Weight limits also apply to all inflatables.

EN14960 Risk Assessment Statement. All our domes comply with EN14960, However some risk assessment has been used in its design.
Domes by there nature require a larger base depth to counteract the high pressure of the air bag above and as such end up with a platform significantly higher than a standard inflatable and of that normally allowed under EN14960. The smaller bed does create its own safety issues which cause the inflatable to belly at the base and rock side to side side even when anchored correctly, to which the supervisors have no control over.
For this reason and through over 25 years experience of manufacturing these domes, we have found that the best form of entry/ exist to the domes is through gentle access & egress in the form of a ramp. This ramp is taller than the maximum fall of height typically allowed under EN14960, However consideration has been given to this and the step has been widened and in some cases fitted with a mini wall to ensure a firm foothold and to prevent a user from slipping of sideways and reducing the chance of a fall occurring from the abnormal height.
Given the above, There must be control measures in place at all times, These controls are matting placed directly in the fall off area. These mats must be 4" thick in order to achieve the correct impact resistance for the higher bed & The inflatable must not be used without them.
This control, combined with the 2 supervisor required per entrance and exit under EN14960, should be sufficient to prevent any accidents from occurring. Remember the ramp is only in place to aid access and egress from the bouncing area & is not for bouncing and sliding.
I can also confirm that to date, No recorded Injury accidents have been recorded by ourselves & no notifications have been received from any HSE department across Europe & the rest of the world.
Please note that a ramp is provided as standard in order to gain access to the play area only & not for bouncing and sliding. Alternative step is available if required. If in any doubt, please consult with your tester before choosing a ramp/ step.
